These photos were taken after a day of heavy rain and two days of bitter cold - which would seem to be ideal for ice flower formation. This day was also bitter cold with temps in the low 20s and wind gusts. There were only a few delicate little ice flowers to be found but the wind and cold and very bright sunshine made it difficult to capture most of them.
